Scott Thompson decided to plead guilty at the last minute Thursday and Friday afternoon he had to face the consequences of that decision.
Twenty-three-year-old Thompson was facing two breaking and entering charges, felony fives, and one burglary charge, a felony in the third degree.
Thompson also has a charge pending in Sandusky. Thompson’s attorney, Thomas Nicholson, told visiting Judge Dale A. Crawford that Thompson has a substance abuse problem and was looking for scrap in order to get money for drugs.
The total amount Thompson would have received for the scrap and other items taken over the course of the three cases was $200.
Thompson will serve 12 months on the 2010 breaking and entering charge, 12 months on the 2011 breaking and entering charge, and 30 months on the third-degree felony burglary charge.
The charges will be served consecutively with judicial release possible after one year.
